The question is slightly ambiguous because there are approximately 95000 on the waiting list for Liverpool season tickets with an average of 20 years having to wait to get one whereas you can walk right up to goodison and buy an Everton one today - and they'll throw in a mobile phone. Their ground is never full except for when they play Liverpool

Support in the city when last surveyed was 66% liverpool 23% Everton (done last year) the season ticket spread for Liverpool may be also skewed because many of the season tickets are held by supporters clubs around te country and indeed the world - a fan base that Everton can not really claim as much.

You'll find it's about 50/50.

In my experience, the adigy that all "pure scousers" support Everton, and similarly that all "pure mancunians" support Man City is merely a rumour encouraged by supporters of those respective teams.

I can see why it's believeable though - the sucess of teams like Liverpool and Man Utd attracts a lot of attention, both elsewhere in the UK, and abroad. So you see lots of people not from North West England claiming to be passionate fans of those teams, whereas Everton and City do not have the same reputation, and most of their fans are locals.
